Head to Boston's North Shore and Rhode Island's Block Island for fun, escape and relaxation.

 

● Salem, Gloucester, Rockport, Plymouth, Boston – Massachusetts

● Block Island, Newport – Rhode Island

Activities:  Rowing a dory, Schooner sail, walking, hiking, beginner-intermediate kayaking, horseback riding on the beach (optional horseback ride upgrade)

Day 1

Arrive Boston

and head to

lunch in Salem, knowing

you'll be back to see Boston properly later in your tour.

Row a dory and set out

on our

Schooner Sail

in Gloucester (A Perfect Storm setting)

Arrive in Rockport for our two night stay at a local Inn

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 2

• Choose to walk along the coast before breakfast

or sleep a bit more!

•  Today we kayak and walk

Choate Island

(site of The Crucible) or similar

•  Lobster dinner tonight!

(Other choices available for

all land lovers.)

Day 3

•  Today we load up the traveling van, drive along Ocean Road

on the North Shore and make our way South to Rhode Island!

• Grab your

overnight bags,

jump (or walk)

onto the ferry for

our Block Island experience.

•  After lunch on

the island, have

some time to

savor the island's flavor on your own

at the beach,

hiking paths or in the unique shops.

• Saddle up and

stroll along the beach on horseback! An optional hour may be added where

you take off the saddles and go

into the ocean

on horseback.

• Once back at

the Inn, freshen

up and make

your way to

dinner later that evening.

 

Day 4

• After breakfast,

we head out on a morning hike

around part of

beautiful Block Island.

• Once our early

afternoon ferry

takes us

"off island", we

have lunch in

Newport, Rhode Island.

• Drive and walk

by the famous Newport Mansions.

• We arrive in

Boston late

afternoon and

check into our

in-town accommodations

• The evening is

filled with a great Italian dinner in Boston proper and the longest running play in the history

of the American Theatre: Shear Madness, a fantastic

Day 5

• Breakfast is a bit later today.

We head out on the town for a

walking tour of Boston proper that morning.

• Lunch is at

the famous Quincy Market

& Faneuil Hall Marketplace.

• Say farewell

to your guide and have a

Single Supplement: $445 per person

 

If fewer than 8 travelers sign up, we do plan to run the tour if all remaining participants wish to do so. The price of tour will be decided if this happens. If the tour does not run for some reason, all monies will be refunded by 30 days prior to tour departure. we have run tours with smaller/private groups in smaller modes of transportation with similar costs stated above. The tour may also be combined with one tour departing in August. This will be confirmed 30 days prior to departure.

 

If you are willing to be paired with another traveler of the same sex at time of reservation, the single supplement is $300 - even if you end up with a private room on tour.

This tour is offered Land Only.

 

Travelers are required to book their own flight to Boston Logan Airport

 or meet in Boston area at predetermined location.

Accommodations* are in Bed & Breakfasts/Inns for this tour, except in Boston on the last night in order to keep the price reasonable and stay in town.

 

Any reservations made 45 days prior to departure or later, full payment is due upon reserving.

  

When reserving, please give us your roommates name to insure you are rooming together.

 

Cancellations for Girls Getaway:

30 days or more from departure = full refund, minus deposit.

    *Deposit is transferable to another tour within 2 years of initial tour departure date.

29-14 days from departure = 75% refund.

13-8 days from departure = 50% refund.

7 days or less from departure = no refund possible.

The adventures range from hot air balloon rides, biking, canoeing and kayaking, camping, to hiking and walking.


Our adventures get you out on the trails, some accessible by the local Boston Rapid Transit (the T) and commuter rail.
