Take Me to Fenway + Boston Brewery

Duration: 5 hours pier to pier Meeting/End Location for guide/tour manager to meet group: Boston, MA Destination: Boston, MA Approximate Time Between Pier & Destination: 15-30 minutes, depending on traffic

Agility: This is on the coach – from experience to experience. There is a bit of walking and standing while on the Fenway tour and at the breweries. If you choose to sit and wait, this is also an option in places.

Meals Included: None…well technically not a sit down. There is light food fare at the brewery.

Drinks Included: Samples, some are as flight options at various breweries. Brew tastings at each brewery are included.

Brewery is local and planned to include Sam Adams Brewery- a Boston Classic and still going strong.

At Sam Adams, an even more in depth private experience is planned. This includes a privately guided tour of their brewhouse, where you’ll learn all about their brewing processes, ingredients, and history. Followed by a guided tasting of 3 different samples of beer, one of which is an exclusive research & development style. PLUS all the additional experiences: Tour both their Barrel Room and Bier Keller and learn all about those spaces. Includes a sour beer sample, a barrel aged beer sample and an artisanal cheese sample.

Fenway Park: Fenway Private Tour “Take Me to Fenway” 90 minutes + 30 minute shopping time. Your private tour includes batting practice with souvenir book.

Availability as of October 2023 for Sam Adams Brewery:

  • Monday-Wednesday: 11:30am, 6:30pm, & 7:00pm; Thursday-Friday: 11:30am, 7:00pm; Sunday: 11:00am

Please also note that the Red Sox could be in the playoffs in Oct! We’ll see :). But that means your guided tour needs to be booked far in advance and for the morning only, starting at 9AM for that tour. Arrival at 8:45AM. Then the Breweries are in good time after the 90 mins at Fenway + time for souvenir shopping in the big store across the street from Fenway. This does limit our booking time at Sam Adams to 11:30AM.

Salem Discovery Tour

Duration: 8 hours pier to pier

Meeting/End Location for guide/tour manager to meet group: Boston, MA

Destination: Salem, MA

Approximate Time Between Pier and Destination: 45 minutes, depending on traffic

Agility: Salem is a great walking city. Please be ready to walk in town, with the walking portion broken up with photo stops, lunch, entrances. There are no hills in town. It is a flat area, but with some uneven walking paths here and there.

Meals Included: Upscale lunch with multiple main meal options in a local restaurant either downtown or on the waterfront. Includes non-alcoholic drinks. Please feel free to order & take care of any alcoholic beverages directly with your restaurant staff.

Boston Pub Crawl

Duration: 4 hours – Starting at first pub and ending time with crawl guide at last pub

Meeting/End Location for guide/tour manager to meet group: 1st pub in downtown Boston, MA

Destination: Boston, MA

Approximate Time Between Pier and Destination: N/A

Agility: Boston is a great walking city. This is a walking experience between all the planned pubs. Between the first few, while it is a reality short distance, there is a hill or two involved. (Uphill only one way of course.)

4 Planned Pubs: The classic and original Cheers, A local Irish Pub,  The Bell in Hand (America’s Oldest Tavern with the first pour 1795), and the one of a kind Union Oyster House (the longest running restaurant in the USA)

Meals Included: No sit down/full meals planned. There is “light food fare” planned at 2 of the 4 pubs. This is meant to be a mingling experience while at each pub among your group.

Drinks Included: 1 drink included at each pub – 4 total + light food fare at 2 of the stops

Please note there is not any planned coach for this time. So this is an all walking experience, with stopping along the way at 4 pubs. The first two pubs are with a few blocks of each other. Then it is about a 10 minute walk between the 2nd and 3rd stop. The 3rd and 4th stops are just steps apart.

Isabella Stewart Gardner & Boston Overview Tour

Duration: 4 hours pier to pier

Agility: This is not a walking tour, transportation from pier to museum and back. There is walking and standing for about 1 hour on your museum tour

Private Museum Tour: Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum – The Gardner Museum welcomes you this day! Your one-hour tour is designed to engage you through conversation and close looking, while exploring the Museum’s past and present. Rather than rushing through many objects, they will select a few works of art to engage with deeply during your visit. Museum Teachers will provide a general introduction to the Museum and its founder, as well as facilitating inquiry into three to four artworks or galleries. They are happy to tailor any tour to your group’s particular interest, as known ahead of time.

Walking Tours Sites: Freedom Trail – Historic Sites through parts of Boston, highlighting the American Revolution stories and sites from the Boston Common to the Italian North End: Granary Burying Ground, Old South Meeting House, Old State House, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere House & Statue, Old North Church and more. This tour does not walk over the bridge to the USS Constitution and Bunker Hill Monument. These two sites are seen from the North End across the harbor.

North Shore Exploration 

Classic New England – Off the Beaten Path – Woods and Waterfront Walks

Duration: 9.5-10 hours pier to pier – The day could be made shorter if you would like to take out something.

Meeting/End Location for guide/tour manager to meet group: Boston, MA

Destinations: Gloucester, Rockport, Newburyport, MA

Approximate Time Between Pier and Beginning/Ending Destinations: 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic

Agility: Be ready for an active day. Short walks along the waterfronts and downtowns. A woods walk for about 45 minutes – 1 hour over uneven ground. 

Meals Included: Lobster in the rough – a classic New England experience. Other options can be included for those who do not want to eat lobster. This lobster is not prepared for you. You get to do that yourself! Other sides may include clam chowder, corn on the cob, slaw. A fried seafood meal is an option as well. If you don’t like seafood, we’ll make sure you do not go hungry!

Bottled water on board. Stop at a local farm for apple cider donuts.

Walking Tour Sites: Along the Gloucester waterfront for a short distance, Rockport waterfront/possible artists shop time, Newburyport with a bit of time to shop in local establishments. For your woods walk there are a few options that will be decided upon based on weather conditions prior to the day (some places are lower in elevation and may be boggy). We are working on a naturalist to be with you for this walk in the woods. Please wear comfortable and worn-in walking shoes. Hiking shoes are not needed unless that is what you wish.

Driving Tour through classic towns: Essex, Ipswich, Rowley through the backroads. You’ll take the highway to your first destination and then from your last destination to get to and from, with your local guide on board for stories about Boston’s North Shore.
