Boston is gearing up to help host the global spectacle of the FIFA World Cup 26™, with the city selected as one of the host venues for this historic, 48-team tournament co-hosted by the U.S., Mexico and Canada.
Over the course of the summer, fans from around the world will descend on Boston, bringing vibrant fan culture, international energy and unforgettable moments to a city already rich in sports history.
Sail Boston

Bostonians welcome crews and cadets from all over the world to their harbor on a continual basis as part of the Visiting Ship Program and are gearing up to greet the return of the tall ship fleet for Sail Boston® 2026 Presented by Meet Boston!

In 2025 and 2026, Massachusetts 250 will honor the pivotal battles fought across the Commonwealth that secured America’s independence. Step into the birthplace of liberty — where history was made and the nation’s future began to take shape. From the Berkshires to the Blackstone Valley, the North and South Shores to Cape Cod and the Islands, we’re embracing our shared past, uncovering untold stories, and celebrating 250 years of independence, innovation, and the revolutions still to come.
