An essential part of the state’s economy, tourism generates $1.9 billion in state and local taxes and $24.2 billion in tourism-related spending, supporting 131,100 in-state jobs.

The North of Boston region, 30 minutes from Boston, features 5,000 plus rooms (large hotels to small inns), beaches, lighthouses, historic homes, museums and the best shopping and dining around!

Massachusetts Cultural Council

Mass Cultural Council works to elevate our rich cultural life in Massachusetts. Essex Historical Society & Shipbuilding Museum

The Essex Shipbuilding Museum tells the story of a New England village that built more wooden fishing schooners than any other place in the world.

Rocky Neck Cultural District

The crown jewel of Gloucester’s working inner harbor, Rocky Neck is home to one of the oldest continuously- operating art colonies in the United States. Known for its unique and penetrating light, artists have long been drawn to Rocky Neck.

Beverly Main Streets

Beverly Main Streets is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization started in 2002 by a group of Beverly residents and entrepreneurs. Now, more than 20 years later, downtown Beverly has become a thriving center for the arts and local economy, with renowned restaurants, unique retail businesses and innovative design and creative industries. Beverly Main Streets continues to promote and enhance downtown Beverly’s economic vitality, culture, and historic resources.

Newburyport Cultural District

Newburyport, Massachusetts is an ideal destination for tourists because it blends classic New England charm with vibrant, modern coastal energy. Visitors can stroll the brick downtown filled with boutiques, galleries, and award-winning restaurants, then wander the scenic waterfront, marinas, and historic neighborhoods that date back to the 1600s.
